Anti-Static Homopolymer Acrylic Felt

  • With a maximum service temperature of 127°C (260°F), acrylic fibers provide good chemical resistance to acids and alkalis.
  • Methods to add anti-static resistance:
    1. Conductive carbon is blended with the felt fibers (acrylic) after which the blend goes through the felting process. This product has the most uniform conductivity and can pass the Static Decay Test (NFPA 99).
    2. Scrim used for felting has a grid of conductive fibers.
    3. Grounding wire is added to the vertical stitching line during the bag manufacturing process.
